Is James Toseland good enough to take on Rossi and Stoner?

British hopes rely on James Toseland coming into MotoGP next year, but how will he do?

Is he good enough to beat Rossi or Stoner?

Depends on the tires and bike. I don't believe he'll do it on a factory support team. Since all the electronics have taken over, it's not 80% rider, 20% bike any longer. I miss the days of the 500 where traction control was a rider's right hand.

I would say yes, why not.

Although I do have some patriotic urge to support any British sports person or team no matter what!

We need some more British talent in MotoGP. Maybe Bradley Smith will make the grade in a few years? He's just confirmed he will ride for the Polaris World Aprilia squad in the 2008 MotoGP world 125 championship. Also, Fourteen-year-old Gloucestershire schoolboy Scott Redding has clinched a 3-year deal with the Spanish-based BQR Blusens Aprilia world championship team. He will become the team's number one rider in the 2008 and 2009 MotoGP 125 World Championship.
